The data saved on the smartphone is encrypted, and all connections between the app and the server are also encrypted. The EU Digital COVID Certificate is a digital document implemented at EU level to facilitate safe free movement of European citizens during the pandemic. Since June 2021, Immuni serves as one of the access points to get the EU Digital COVID Certificate, which contains a QR code with a digital signature to protect it against falsification.

Can Immuni diagnose COVID-19?

No, Immuni is not a medical device and cannot diagnose COVID-19. Based on the user's history of exposure to potentially contagious users, it makes recommendations about what to do next.

Is it mandatory to use Immuni?
